Friends,
Presenting a new quiz format that will involve mathemusical efforts to find out the songs hidden in the numbers and yes you can use your cell phones or regular telephones for assistance.
The MatheMusical Keys Quiz :-
The cryptic clues of song mukhada are formed as number combination on the standard keypad of your cell phone/telephone instrument as each number key also represents a set of alphabets (The standard key pad is given below for quick reference), So the song's opening lines (mukhada) can be crypted as a number combination. Observe a number pattern in the lines can make it interesting reading, as it might be helpful with repeated words. In the initial phase, the quiz will have songs with repeated words to make it a little simpler. Here are some of the proposed rules..
1. The quiz will feature 3 question based on a common theme.
2. Only the standard key pad (given below for reference) will be used for crypting the songs.
-
3. To make it a little simpler, A BAR will be used above a number if a letter is repeated in the same word. The BAR will not be put over the first occurance of the letter.
for example jeevan ke safar me raahi will be represent as
- -
533826 53 72327 63 72244
e is repeated in jeevan, a is repeated in safar, a is again repeated in raahi. There are no bars on 44 as the two represents two different characters.
4. Each song clue will again be supported by a significant reference related to the song, in terms of P-Stat or otherwise, cryptic or direct.
5. The quizmaster can provide a letter in the cryptic number combination itself, as a clue.
The first edition of the quiz is dedicated to Dev saab on his birthday.. All three songs are picturised on Dev saab rendered by three different voices (yet another clue).
