Very welcome Sri ji - people have been very critical of my need to listen to as clear songs as possible, I am glad you seem to think it important. Did you want the others from this movie too? I have Kisine jadu kiya and Bagh main kali khili.
T : Yes !!
I would like both. I waited for Kisine jaadu kiya when i was seeing the movie on VCD ... but it never came !! The scene must have been cut. As for 'Baagh mein'', the film version has some additional lines sung by Asha which are missing in the usual audio release - so i would like that too. Do you also have, by any chance,
'Jhanana jhanana baaje by Lata - same movie ?
And yes, I am also very conscious of sound quality. First I look for CDQ - generally associated with good sound.... but, of course, the original source is also very important in determining the sound quality. Many HMV audio CDs have poor quality because they are digitised vinyl rips - the original master tapes / records may have been lost or spoilt. So these so-called CDQ rips are not very good, whereas the same songs from DVD may prove to be much much better. At the same time, some good quality vinyl rips may have very good sound. Then there are CDs of mp3s and some 128kbps tracks copied from lower bitrate tracks from various web sites etc.- these are not really CDQ - so one has to be watchful of all this ... and finally of course, the ears should be able to tell the difference !! If real CDQ is not available, then I settle for BAQ ( best available quality !!)
