I heard this song of Hemantda atleast 30+ years ago. I have been searching for this song since then. It was on a local radio in India those many years ago!

The words were something like:

Aanchal se kyon haar liya mujh pardesi ka pyar
Phir jo raat yun aa jayegi, lekin main nahin aaoonga
Door khada manjhil pe kahin mein.......

Meri Kami mehsoos karogi
Roagi afsos karogi
Bolo piritum nirdayi kahekar
band karogi khooli duar!


As you can see, the words are still ringing in my ears after so many years have passed! This is one of the best songs sung by Hemantda and is really touching!

Hope one of the fans may actually have this song and post it here!

Actually the Mukhda of the requested song is slightly different. It is as follows (not 100% sure about the second line, though):

Aanchal Se Kyon BANDH liya mujh pardesi ka pyar
Jaane Waale Se Milne Ki Aasha Hai Bekar

Nevertheless the song posted by you, "Ab Yaad Humein Kyon Aati Ho", is no less beautiful. I believe both the requested songs and the posted song may be in the same cassette collection as these are both included in the same long play record of Hemant Kumar's private songs brought out by HMV about 30 years back.
