Just heard "Be Chayn Nazar Betaab Jigar" by Talat Mehmood. I had ripped it from the Legends 5 CD set (5th CD song 17), song length 3:45. Problem is my (fading) memory of this song is different from this one. Can anyone set my mind at ease either way, please.

3:45 sounds about right to me.

Hits Ji,
Thanks for the initial diagnosis. I am uploading the patient for a thorough examination when the "doctor(s)" here have some free time.

Your upload matches your earlier observation.

Now, there exists another Talat song that goes - Betaab Hai Dil Bechain Nazar. This is from the 1959 Bereham Daaku and goes for about 3:13. Any chance this rings a bell?

Hits Ji,
Aapke jawaab ney bahut sukoon diya (mein toh Brainiagra (for my brain, of course) ki khoj shuru karne waala thha).
Although I'm not familiar with the song you mentioned, since the "patient" is one of the crown jewels of the Mellifluous One, there can be no room for confusion.
Let's hope that there is unanimity in the doctors' community, uskey baghair toh sona namumkin hai.

You may wanna give a listen to this beauty. Maybe you wouldn't need the ...agra after all -

Hits Ji,
Any song by the Mellifluous One is priceless. You just increased my net worth substantially, Bahut Shukriya.
BTW, I'm sure it has been observed that no one has even tried to imitate the Mellifluous One (to my knowledge), so that was always out of the question. Maybe some songs sound better on AM radios (with static) than the "cleaned" (possibly remastered) versions. Another injustice one has to bear in the name of "progress".
