Who said that ? WHO SAID THAT?

They really ought to get their ears examined.

IMO, there is no sad song that really captures the emotions like "Chain se hum ko kabhi aap ne jeene na diya". What an amazingly poignant
rendition. That one song alone proves it all. Not that there aren't
a whole bunch of others.
Absoutely. Listening to music contests and new singers doing 'tributes' I always felt Geeta's waqt ne kiya was one song that NO one and that means no one--not even Lata or Meena Kapoor (who sang it at MMIM) could emulate or do the same justice to or create the same magic in.
But lately I realised chain se humko kabhi falls into the same league. Even while I have often seen remixes of Asha's Western/cabaret numbers and felt no one challenge her this song I think is in that league of 'a moment captured in time never to be repeated'. She has poured her soul into it.
But bahut saare sad songs hai. I love do boonde sawan ki and the pathos in it. Ab ke baras is cited by many. Then the one I uled aapki baatein aapki kasme?
Anyway getting any un heard Asha song is always a joy but this Sambandh number really floored me. BEAUTIFUL song!!!!!!!
