Oh that way--I was wondering why u wanted such a common song. As I mentioned on yahoo sks, I had the song as a kid--the complete song ie with all 3 stanzas--do not have that cassette now. Let me check for the versions I have on cd currently and get back. Asha Aunty???? EEEE that sounds awful.
BTW it is akele mere armaan tadap tadap ke kyun rote..
I think there is a lot of confusion regarding this song--as far as I remember this song is a complete one with 3 stanzas--2 by Asha and then Rafi joining in. There is no special solo version only of course Asha sings just her part as a full song in shows. Does anyone--Unni, SB have the whole 3 stanza song?

U mean the 2nd stanza. The order is 2 Asha stanzas and then the Rafi one na? That's how I remember it--it is very definitely available--I must have bought the cassette about 15-16 yrs back--that is not too long a time back. But do not remember which cassette it was.
U must have heard the song on the Royal Albert Hall concert too?--Asha solo--2 stanzas--that had the 2 Asha duets with Varsha--reshmi salwar and hamre gaon koi aayega.

More importantly, by any chance is there a solo version by Rafi-sahab?

PRIYA JI i have LIVE version of ASHA where she sings few additional stanzas.

but i dun like it coz it sounds more like INDIPOP,it losts the glory of its originality


i have never been an admirer of REMIX just like LATA MANGESHKAR
even if u listen those REMIX version with the same artist u will feel that sumthing is wrong with them.

I do not know which live version U heard--maybe a lter one. The London one is good--not as good as the original but still good.
I do not think any of us here like remixes esp the ones that have rap and stuff in them.
But one remix I liked of Asha (please do not start brickbats and controversies here anyone ) is Hemant Kumar's yeh nayan dare dare. Now of course no one can beat the original HK version but I somehow enjoyed Asha's version too. Another that wasn't bad was yeh raatein yeh mausam nadi ka kinara.

My vote goes for Asha-ji's rendition of the song originally sung by Lata-ji, "Kuchh Na Kaho" ("1942 - A LOVE STORY").

Haan have that on cd. That was a good one too.
BTW maine poocha chand se is a Rafi song right? Or was there an Asha version too in the film?
