This song is from Noor Jehan's first film in Pakistan, 'Chanvey'. Though songs from the film are popular among music lovers till date yet this one has been largely ignored. Coming to the song, I just love the loudish Punjabi music in that, NJ has sung it with a full throated voice and zest

I think we all have good connections now. Mera broadband ho gaya tho still only 1 GB per month. Inaam too has a faster one I think. 96 is fine.

I had recorded some of those rare song clips on my PC to be played in the program. Hold back your aggressive fantasies , I'm not tantalizing you guyz , I had no intention of playing these songs in full length in that program, I just recorded clips for introduction sake wishing to give a chronological feel to that prog. That prog was largely to include 50s and 60s Punjabi songs. I have full versions of quite a few of her songs from various decades. Starting with a staggeringly melancholic melody, testing the patience of lover, whether he can contain the beloved's rage or not................

As explained in Inaam Bhai's post I became quite busy but this time it wasn't work, my wife's uncle and aunt decided to pay us a surprise from Pakistan on Monday and are with us until the 5th August. I have just got a quick moment now to check up on the latest !

Anyway, I have a copy of Zeenat on video but it is a very very bad print, very unclear. Here's hoping the print that you have is better.

Keeping in mind his fast compositions of 90s, it is hard to belive that it is M Ashraf's music.

Yesterday, after days I had lots of free time, or I chose to take it out . I was busy digitalizing four audio tapes to CDs of different singers. I remembered an unrelenting request of my friends Inaam, Jamal, Priya and Surinder. Friends, here is a song for you. A very rare, hard to find. Noor Jehan's voice sounds very innocent and sweet here, has a naivety to it. One of the best of melody queen
