Hi Aahat ,

More people will feel less hesitant to download your upload , if they where in RAR or ZIP compression as they are already used to it.

Not everyone is familiar with ".GZ" extension , even though WINZIP supports it and the file can be easily de-compressed using it.....

The song is in Raag Darbari Kanada (I just noticed that Unni beat me to it).

Some song info for those aren't familiar with this song:
It is an old telugu song from the movie "Jagadeka veeruni katha" and has been sung by Ghantasaala the way only he can. This was the first song I ever heard (when I was about 5 yrs old) in Darbari Kanada and even to this day whenever I sing this raaga or play it, I always include Ghantasaala's short alaap from Shivashankari. Thanks for the wonderful upload Aahat, I just wish the quality was better.

I use linux computers so I was unable to zip or rar (though I can open them). But I would go for winzip from next time, guess it can be ported onto Linux through 'wine'. I got a .rm file of this song, somehow converted it to mp3. You know, something is better than nothing. I tried the itunes, and again, my browser cribs saying it as an unrgistered protocol. Can someone u/l it as an mp3 please?

Raaga Subha Pantuvarali.

Never heard of it, but my IQ moved above zero now.

Raaga Subha Pantuvarali is the 45th melakartha raaga of carnatic system. It is the equivalent of the Hindustani raag Todi. The scale for both raagas is
S r g M P d N S'. (M=teevra madhyam)

I bet it sounds familiar now.
