This is an excellent ghazal by Jaan Nisaan Akhtar Sahab... , I might have the Mukesh version of this if you are interested.....

Ashyaar mere yu to zamaane ke liye hain
Kuchh sher fakat unko sunaane ke liye hain

Ab ye bhi nahi thheek ki har dard mita dein
Kuchh dard kaleje se lagaane ke liye hain

Aankho mein jo bhar loge to kaanto se chubhenge
Ye khwaab to palko pe sajaane ke liye hain

This ghazal has been sung by Anup Jalota too... I've heard only his version.

BTW which album did he sang this one for ? I have his Jaam Chalne Laga and Friendship , also from here and there in various artist CDs but still dont have it by Anup Jalota ? Did u heard his latest interivew ? He is coming with some cool fusion music album pretty soon

It was featured in two Albums : "Aao Aise Mohabbat Karen" and "A Journey To Remember' and the ghazal is known as Rahoon Pe Nazar Rakhna......

I don't think I have heard that ghazal , unless its the same one as Chand Ki Peshani by Gulzar sung by Abhijeet Ray in Udaas Paani.

And what if I am not from other fans of her ... but I do like her eyes and smile ........ and ofcourse.... Kuchh na Kisi se bolenge.....Tanhai mein rolenge.... , and a totally contradicting one..... Rone se ghum ka guazara nahi hota..... harr ashq mohabbat ka sahara nahi hota.....

I just listened to the track on Musicindiaonline. It is the same ghazal - this one (Abhishek Ray version) is largely instrumental - Gulzar's rich voice is wonderful to listen to, though. The Mitali version is at least fifteen years old (probably more) and the composition is very beautiful - I had it on tape years ago....
