Wondering whom mukeshji saying "PARI" here ... definitly Sameera Reddy or Mallika Sherawat or Neha Dhupia can't fall under PARI category even though they might be "HOT" and "MOST WANTED" heroines....

Did you buy this cd recently as I have been looking for these songs for a long time ago when I first heard them on LP many years ago.

I bought this double cd (Life Story Mukesh, green case) on Saturday and it cost me £15.00. What a great buy?

Ya , around X'mas time , I was browing thru Music Stores of NY and accidently came across this CD and grabbed it right than and there....

Which one you liked the best ? No discussions on any of this songs ? Movie ? etc....

The hero of this movie "Udhar Ki Sindhoor" is Jeetendra.

Mukesh was always a great singer, but I truly feel that he offered his all time best from 1975 onwards. I think the rare list shows his versitality. I have most of these songs on a tape called "Best of Mukesh." I feel people realized that Mukesh is truly versitile in 1976 that he sang so many wonderful romantic and action packed as well as situational songs. I will give a little list (which may include the songs uploaded in this particular thread).

(All songs except for two in Dus Numbri (1976): Mukesh in a style never really heard or seen before. I love every song from Dus Numbri sung by Mukesh, especially Yeh Duniya Ek Numbri, Mujhe Dard Rehta Hai, and Dilruba Dilli Walli. Mukesh had a total of five numbers in that movie on Manoj Kumar.

Imaan Dharam (1977): two songs; only heard one of them (Humko tumse ho gaya hai pyaar) in a extremely shoddy and poor quality video tape. If someone can upload this, I would be very grateful! I would also like to hear his voice in the duet with Rafi (Loji foji mauj mein)

Kabhi Kabhie (1976) Mukesh singing for the big B! Sweet music by Khaiyyam and Mukesh like never before!

Adalat (1976) Mukesh singing for the big B, number 2! Very folk style songs for Amitabh Bachchan. The super thick voiced Mukesh singing in a style very similar to Amitabh's voice. (Humka Aisa Waisa Na Samjho). Another very sentimental song Behna O Behna is from that film. I wish I could hear those two songs again.

Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) Mukesh singing twice. One for Vinod Khanna in Humko tumse ho gaya hai pyaar kya karen with Kishoreda, Rafisaab, and Lataji. Second (every little bit counts) is his voice for the Big B once again. Notice in the MOVIE version of the song Pardah Hai Pardah (not the records release), you will hear that this is a trio; Rafi singing for Rishi Kapoor, Kishoreda singing two lines for Amitabh, and Mukesh's unique voice for the unique "wah wah wah" after Rafi sings "Kisi ki jaan jaati hai"

Farishta Ya Qatil (1977): Mukesh in two songs. Two wonderful selections

Darinda (1977): Chahe aaj mujhe na pasand karo. Another wonderful gem.

Dharam Veer (1977): Mukesh's two songs in the Dharam Veer rank on the top of my personal list; namely a happy version and sad version of Saat Ajube Iss Duniya Mein with Rafi. Actually, there are three version, one in which Nitin Mukesh had to sing Mukesh's "would-have-been lines."

Udhar Ka Sindhur and Tumhari Kasam (1976 and 1978); both Rajesh Roshan, both Asha duets, both having Mukesh fitting the modern-trend bill! Listen to his shades of when he does the "ho ho ho" parts in both songs.

Mukti (1977): two Mukesh songs; R.D. Burman got Mukesh to sing

Chandi Sona (1977): three Mukesh songs; R.D. Burman got Mukesh to sing!!!

Karma (1977): two Mukesh song; did I mention R.D. Burman got Mukesh again!

Barood (1978): Tu Shaitano Ka Sardar... S.D. Burman now got Mukesh to sing!

Santaan (1976): While venturing in action pact, situational, or comic songs, he will still the king of sad songs in Tu Mile to Poochoon

Jaaneman (1977) and Aahuti (1978).. Two films which Mukesh did one liners. Still every little bit counts. :-)

Parmatma (1978): Saath kisi ke koi kab aata hai

Lastly... Chanchal Sheetal Nirmal Komal from Satyam Shivam Sundaram. The song he left us all with. I truly think that if he had lived a bit longer, I think (speculate I guesS) that he would have sung in films like Trishul, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Noorie, Kranti (for sure!!), Naseeb, Pyaasa Sawan, Gopichand Jasoos, Neeyat, Akhiyon Ko Jharonko Se, and many more "possible ones." Even though many say he was past his prime, I truly feel that he was taking one more giant leap where his versitality had a new spring blossoming. Just makes you appreciate his abilities more. Does anyone have a list or something of that sort which had Mukesh "would-have-sang" songs?

I think Nirlaj is unreleased. Farz Aur Pyar was released in 1981 (despite the age of the recording... early 60s-ishs). I don't know if Farz Aur Pyar was a film though.

I also ask about his 1981 and 1982 scores; Maila Aanchal and Aarohi. Were they actual films of his private recordings?

Thanks. My research says that like "Farz Aur Pyar", "Maila Aanchal" and "Aarohi" are unreleased/unfinished films whose music might've been released.
