If someone were to ask me that which was the first song in which Noor Jehan participated only as a singer then I would be somewhat unsure of my answer. I'm sharing the facts and evidences I'm aware of and request others to correct me.
A music lover told me that Noor Jehan first playback was under Master Ghulam Haider in Khazanchi (1941). If this is so then can someone please name the song because I have only three songs from Khazanchi and all are in the voice of Shamshad Begum.
I had the movie Zeenat(1945) with me and clearly know that Noor Jehan gave playback for the superb qawwali 'aahen Na bharin shiqve na kiye' alongwith Zohrabai and Kalyani.
The first Pakistani film where Noor Jehan gave playback for Musarat Nazir was Jaan-e-Bahaar (1958), the song being 'kaisa nasib layi thi gulshan-e-rozgaar men.' Following this, during her acting career Noor Jehan gave playback in Salma (1960): the superb 'zindagii hai ya kisi ka intezaar hai' and in Rani Khan (1960): Nai bhulna ve tainuun. I also heard that she recorded for Mazil (1960) but I have not heard any song from that film.
Noor Jehan's last film as singer-actress was Ghalib (1961). Post that I read that she gave playback for Farishta (1961) under Rashid Attre and in Mongol (1961) under Feroz Nizami. Pulkit! To my knowledge, Noor Jehan's first song as a play back singer was 'Zindagi hai ya kissi ka intezaar' from Salma (1960). I had the movie 'Khazanchi' with me and clearly know that Noor Jehan not gave any playback for this film. I have all the tracks of this film with me.
As for as 'Kaisa Nasib lai thai' is concerned, Noor Jehan was suposed to heroin of this film, this song was recorded at the time of Mahurat of the film, due to unknown matther, Noor Jehan left the film and Musrat Nazir join it. The recorded song was picturised on Musarat Nazir.
She recorded for Manzil , Bhaabi, Salma, Raani Khan in 1960 and Farishta, Chhote sarkaar, Mangol, Gul Bakawli, Ghalib in 1961. I have the songs of Salma, Raani Khan, Farishta and Ghalib from this list.

Well, Inaam, Sampath and Surinder, thanks for the response. So now , I can say with confidence that Noor Jehan's first playback was for Shashikala in Zeenat (1945). I have seen the film and Noor Jehan sang the famous Qawwali 'aahen na bharin shiqve na kiye kuchh bhi na zubaan se kaam liya, iss par bhi mohabbat chhip na saki jab tera kisi ne naam liya' alongwith Zohrabai and Kalyani. Noor Jehan's portion was picturized on Shashikala.
