OMG ! that is such a shocking news sad1.gif ..... I've seen lots of his marathi movies.... most of them comedies.... even before he became famous by hindi movies...and like many other actors ..... he too had started his career on stage of Marathi Dramas.... One of his movie since long time I could not get hold of a video for is "Ek Hota Vidhushak" (Once there was a clown) .... He was the main HERO in the movie and it won State and National Awards....

Gosh !!! What a great time that was back in India .... watching all this great comedies on Local DD channels with Amol Palekar , Dilip Phrabavankar , Ashok Saraf , Vijay Kadam , etc....

Is you understand marathi some of the recommendation of his movies would be :- Topi Var Topi, Thartharat, Dhumdhadaka, Dedhanadan, Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi, Hamal De Dhamal, Lekh Chaalali Sasarla and Chalre Lakshya Mumbaila.....

Shocking news indeed!!! He was a good actor... He was one of the two current generation comedians I loved to watch (other being Jatin Kanakia - unfortunately he too is no more)

May his soul rest in peace...

Sad... What was he ailing of for a month? I agree with Chitz, 50 is just too young to die of natural causes in this day and age. Better hit the gym!!

Talaikya! You missed this sentence I suppose

"Unwell for the past one month, Berde died of kidney failure today at 0245 hrs"
