Yes it is a day we miss him more since it brings back the memories
of the very moment we heard the shocking news and so much hoped
that it was not true.

That was 32 years ago and yet there is hardly a day that he is not with
us. That is because he was such a simple, honest pesron who really
cared for others and that genuine feelings came across in his simple
staright rendering of countless songs.

Music and singing can be learned, but waht Mukeshji had, came from
within. It was God's gift that he shared so willingly. Who knows when, if ever, we will see another singer like him.

u/l a song in his memory, courtesu HF.

The simplicity and sweetness in Mukesh ji's voice can not be described in words. From early forties till late seventies this legendary singer and a simple human being sang from the bottom of his heart. Not only for Raj Kapoor, but for generations of heroes, this fabulous singer sang songs of varying emotions.

Mukesh ji is and will always be in the memories of music lovers !!!

In the words of Sahir sahab

Main har ek pal ka shayar hoon
har ek pal meri jawani hain
har ek pal meri hasti hain
har ek pal meri kahani hain

Long live Mukesh and his sangeet! As long as the Hindi film industry legacy (no... I'm not referring to what's made today) exists, Mukesh's name and fame will continue to grow!

Just listened to the Kranti song, "Zindagi Ki Na Toote Ladi." Listen to how close Nitin-ji sounds like Mukesh at 3:01 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLUYwLgrloA. He sounds like Mukesh at other places in this song. I think that's the closest he'll sound like him. (I'll probaby tie that his four lines from the song from 'Swarg' "filmon ke saare hero mere aage hai zero.")
