one of my fav SJ gems!

I remember tuning in to Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (formerly Radio Ceylon) On Tuesday nights (8.00pm) for the Ek Hi Film Se programme and was overjoyed when they featured Halaku in it. It was the first time I heard all of the songs and was surprised to discover that each & every song was brilliantly melodious. (Don't know why I was surprised though, as we expect such things from SJ anyway!)

1956 was also the year when SJ came up with the monumental, all-time great, award-winning soundtrack of Chori Chori.

And just for the record, in the same year we had Basant Bahar, Rajhath, New Delhi, Patrani & Kismat Ka Khel. A profuse, rich flow of memorable, immortal hits after hits. Such is the magic of SJ.
