C Ramchandra, directing Lata Mangeshkar, was, as is well known, a composing force to reckon with. But even before Lata came into his composing life in the late '40s, C Ramchandra's creations were distinctly individualistic - as they had, willy nilly, to be, his grooming having been in the Anil Biswas school.
