Roshan was stated to be one of Lata's favourite composers. And Raju Bharatan justly complimented this mild-mannered genius as one who could dress poetry in music as well as the best of them, including his peer Madan Mohan. Roshan's creations, though, perhaps, not as widely sung as the compositions of his compatriots like Naushad or S D Burman, occupy a very special place in listeners' hearts.
