Anu Malik - Chip of the Old Block

Anu Malik, son of the great Sardar Malik (of "Saranga" fame), has been a force in the Hindi movie industry for 25 plus years now. Eventhough he struggled intially, persevering, he survived. It is amazing that he composed already for nearly 230 movies and still going strong. Some of his outstanding movies include "Refugee", "Baazigar", "Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi", and host of others.

Anu Malik won Filmfare award for "Baazigar". He won the National award for "Refugee". His "China Gate" song "Chumma Chumma" was used in Nicole Kidman's Oscar-winning movie "Moulin Rouge". In Mira Nair's "Monsoon Wedding" his song "Chunari Chunari" from "Biwi No. 1" was used.

Anu Malik is also a singer and has done a few pop albums.
