I think early 90s was when Amit sounded the best. He could make even bakwaas gaanas sound great. He sounded a but immature in the early 80s, I prefer the late 80s (Tezaab onwards) to late 90s Amit.

most definitely agreed, he was amazing singing for govinda, anil kapoor, sanjay dutt, he has a great manly voice....he had some good songs in 80's but late 80s and early 90s was his peak!!
