Thanks a lot for this nice upload. I found a missing song in your upload.
I had tagged two songs from your list as belonging to Talaash (1957). Would you please check if they are indeed from Sangeeta.

I have another song 'arey kismat ka sitaaraa chamkaa ... chhappar phaad ke' - CR, Rafi, chorus. I am not sure if this song is from Sangeeta or Hangama (1952).

I am looking for one more song from Sangeeta album.

The reason is that these songs were identified by indianscreen as such. So
I would go with Earthmusic.net

Earthmusic also lists rafi & chitalkar duet and chitakar & Snehel Bhatkar duet

You are welcome Exon. The 2 Lata ji songs are indeed from Sangeeta (1950) and not from Talash.
There are lot of mistakes in earthmusic song data, so accept it only after verification. As per geetkosh and Rafi Song book(by Saleem-Ul-Haq), the song Chappar phadke is not from Sangeeta but from
Hangama(1952). These are more authentic as compared to earthmusic.


Yes indeed there is one more song-'chupne waale kahin chupe ..., nazron ka ishaara kaafi' - Lata, which I dont have and would add in the list of missing songs requested for upload.

Thanks to R&D and Mirsa for your clarifications.
I do not doubt the accuracy of information in your posts.
However, I was searching the HF archive and found that there was some discussion on this topic. In earlier posts movie assignments for these three songs in question (two Lata songs and the Rafi-CR song) were confusing. Besides, ISB lists the two Lata solos as belonging to Talaash and assigns the Rafi-CR song to Sangeeta. It will benefit us if knowledgeable members would look into these three songs and clear the confusion. Thanks,

regarding the song 'kismat ke khel nirale' by lata ji my record also indicates that this song is from film talash-1957 and not from film sangeeta so also is indicated in earthmusic.net. Besides, i have a compilation of lata songs from the year 1945-1979 [ LATA MANGESHKAR GANDHAR SWAR YATRA] edited by vishvash nerurkar. it also indicates that this very song is from film talash-1957
