Before getting stylised in the 'Main Chup Rahungi'/'Main Bhi Ladki Hoon' mould in the '60s, Chitragupta displayed, in the late '40s and the '50s, a refreshing spontaneity. In the process, the enchanting voice of Geeta Dutt served him in good stead on several occasions. Here is a Geeta solo for Chitragupta from the 1959 stunt film, 'Commander':
