Parbat (1952)

Here is an early Shankar-Jaikishan film with some beautiful songs. There are eight songs in this movie and Lataji lends her voice to eight of them, with five solos. These songs were collected from various CDs and from the Forum. Therefore their voice quality may not be uniform.

Swarapriya, once again a big bunch of thanks for this relatively rare album of SJ. Young Premnath and Nutan must have been a pair to watch for. Special thanks for 2 songs of Geeta ji (one duet and another trio).

Pleae note that
01) the song 'dil ki duniya' is from Amar Deep (1958) and not from Parbat.
02) the song 'shaam suhaani hai' - there are no such words in the song, is probably a song from Nazare and the male singer is probably G M Durrani.

P.S. 'Dil ki duniya basake-Lata'. Is it from this movie or from Amardeep? I have the same song credited to C Ramchandra in that movie.I will appreciate if you can clarify my confusion about it.H.S.Dh.
