Dear Shri Kirat Ji,
Instead of making your request in a small thread like this, you can start a new thread of your requests. That way many people will read it and respond to it positively.
Also are you sure the Santan song is of Hemant Kumar. I think it is of Manna Dey. (The Lata version is also there.)

It is upto Prabhakar now as I have exhausted my collection.
Only have one Jagmohan song which probably you might already have.

Thank you, Subhash and r&d (I hope you don't mind my dropping "ji"),
I will do my best to upload as many as I have in reasonable quality and kbps - the others I can send by personal email to whoever wants them.
I have a reasonable Jagmohan collection which I will start uploading after I finish with Hemantda's nonfilmi songs.
I agree with Subhash that these (and other singers too) nonfilmi songs are a treasure and I am sorry to say that they are not well known and underappreciated.
I also have a good number of Manna Dey, Mukesh and Rafi nonfilmi geets and ghazals too and if there is interest, I will be glad to upload them.
To go off in a different direction, nobody ever talks or writes about Faiyyaz Hashmi, Madhukar Rajsthani, Kamal Dasgupta. They truly are unsung heroes and deserve as much and probably more credit than some others frequently discussed in this and other forums. My humble opinion only.
Regards,
Prabhakar

Dear Sjri Prabhakar Ji and R&D Ji,
These songs are one of the best set of songs in Hindi music. A few I did have long back in casette form, and I must have spent hours listening to them almost everyday. Thanks for uploadin and I hope we do reach the target of 58 songs...
Do you also have Jagmohan songs?
Subhash G. Deo
It is upto Prabhakar now as I have exhausted my collection.
Only have one Jagmohan song which probably you might already have.
O Varsha Ke Pehle Baadal - Jagmohan - Meghdoot (1945) - Kamal Dasgupta - Faiyaz Hashmi - 4:49 - 128 kbps

No problem with dropping of ji.
here is songs of Kamal Dasgupta from earthmusic.net
=kamaldasgupta
If you want I can organize and start a filmography thread for him.
Most of films are from 40s so finding them will be difficult.

I need these songs. Can any one help?.
1. Kaun hai mata, kaun hai beta - BALYOGI (Hemant Kumar)
2. Kehta hai pyar mera - SANTAAN (Hemant Kumar)
Thanks
Kirat Pal
Dear Shri Kirat Ji,
Instead of making your request in a small thread like this, you can start a new thread of your requests. That way many people will read it and respond to it positively.
Also are you sure the Santan song is of Hemant Kumar. I think it is of Manna Dey. (The Lata version is also there.)
Subhash G. Deo
Dear Subhash G. Deo ji
Many many thanks for your advise.I have posted my request on Sangeet Ke Sitaare just after your suggestion.Lata version of that song is also there in the movie.I think it was sunged by Hemant but I have added the name of Manna Dey also. After a long time it is really difficult to remember the name of singer.I added my request on this topic as I thought the persons who has vast collection of Hemantda song may be aware of these filmy songs also.

Dear Shri R&D,
Kamal Dasgupta certainly was a popular name in the 1940sm but after 1950 his popularity dwindled. He got so much frustrated that finally he left West Bengal and went to East Bengal. There he married a Muslim singer and in the process as usually happens, had to convert himself to Islam. However, it seems that his musical vigour had completely burnt out by this time.
His two sons are today famous singers and musicians there.
I think it was a crime committed by our cine industry to treat him so shabbily around those years in the 1950s, But that is happening even today as is evident from the examples of Mubarak Begum, Shamshad Beum, S. Mohinder, Snehal Bhatkar, and so many others.
I urge you to kindly go ahead with his filmography and do upload any of his songs if possible.
Subhash G. Deo
PS: As luck would have it, I don't have the Meghdoot song of Jagmohan. Kindly upload it at your leisure in this or other thread.

Regards,
Prabhakar
Dear Shri Prabhakar ji,
Glad to have your so quick response. Decidedly the Jagmohan/Hemant Kumar songs are the best among the private songs. I had a book of songs by Madhukar Rajsthani, and I still rue over having lost it. My favourite songs by him are Rafi's two solos Tum Aao Runzun Karti Payal Ki Zankar Kiye and Mere Jeevan K aPehla Pyar Ho Tum. I will be very happy if you happen to have Rafi's non-filmi son Is Dil Se Teri Yaad Bhulayee Nahi Jaati. This was an inavariably played song in Radio Ceylon's Sunday 10 PM program Sada Bahar Geet of old film songs! Why the song was so played I do not know...
A Jagmohan thread will be fantastic.
And now I must go and upload some songs to be able to download the songs you have uploaded!

Speaking of Faiyaaz Hashami. I found this quote in RMIM while searching for Jagmohan.

All these songs were penned by Faiyaz Hashmi. Not only songs sung by Jagmohan
but also by Kamal Zariya (For "kids" -- she is Guru of Chhaya Ganguli), Shanti
Hiranand, Moti Sagar (obscure father of not so obscure Priti Sagar. [Hopefully]
I will talk about him, in ATMJH), N. L. Puri and other singers of that era --
1940s.
Also I found some jogmohan songs that could actually be Hemant Kumar.
but I don't see these listed in the Discography page. Voice does sound
like Hemant Kumar and not Jagmohan.
