Subhas,

You forgot me . I am your Badi Didi and a well wisher.

Lakshmi

My Dear Lakshmi Didi,

I was just addressing Hum Tum personally. To tell him that he too belongs to a culture I am very proud of...
By the way, I am back from the Himalayan sojourn. Hope to be active here again...

Yours

With regards,

Subhash

Duets 001 Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh Sing a Duet for Chitragupt

Some of the best Lata-Mukesh duets have been composed by Chitragupt in films like Guest House, Barkha, Zabak, Opera House, and so on. The one we have chosen is as refreshing today as it was in 1960.

Song: Chadhe Chanda To Tumhi Chale Aana

Film: Apalam Chapalam

Picturised on: ? (Johar and Manjoo?)

Year: 1960

Subhash ji, thanks for posting this song. I just want to clarify one thing. I am not sure which female playback singer has sung more songs for Chitragupta ji. What I mentioned was this " Among the composers for whom Geeta ji has sung, she has sung the maximum number of songs for Chitragupta ji. The general feeling is that it would be either S D Burman or O P Nayyar, but its Chitragupta ji. Among the duets Geeta ji sang with Rafi sahab, the maximum duets are also composed by Chitragupta ji."

I got this information on HF by one of our greatest contributor Mahesh.

Cheers
Parag

My Dear Shri Reeth,

Well! First thanks for kindly correcting me. And secondly, I offer my apologies for the trouble you had to take in doing so...

The good thing is you did come to this thread and that makes me happy.
I saw Aakash Deep long back on TV, and the idea of Nimmi singing both the songs was somehow got planted in my mind. And I do think the other solo is much better than this one.

With regards,

Subhash G. Deo
