Thanks for uploading rarer gems of Mukeshji! :-) The Chhuo Na song came from the film "Honeymoon" in the year 1960. This was one of Manoj Kumar's first songs (and that too with Mukeshji)

The female singer is Sabita Banerjee not Asha Bhonsle and the Music Director is Salil Choudhury

It depends of definition of fast.

A fast can be:
1. Take the overall duration of song and divide count of the words by duration. Compare the words per minutes in individual songs.

2. Take only singing part ignore the music duration where singing is not in parallel. Calculate the duration. Compare the words per minute as in definition 1.

3. There may be many singers involved at different speed (Like in famous "Nain Dwaar Se".). Choose only the duration sung by a particular singer. Take the count of words when this singer was singing. Compare the words per minute. (I had this criterion in mind)


Many songs will be fast by def 3 but may not be by def 1 or other way round. Since this statistics is never maintained officially there no undisputed song "The fast king". Yes but a big effort from fans can verify it.

In fact whatever we agree on the general perception of being fast is just fast foot tapping music. And not the fast singing. Singing fast is different then singing on fast music. Many people may say "Oye Oye"-Tridev a vey fast song but it may not be true unless there are some criteria to back this.

We can put effort to enlighten ourselves or choose to remain in dark.

Thanks HT for the favour, actually I tried for these songs in Jaipur and Delhi but could not get. I may be lucky through your efforts.

I have stopped looking for audio cds/ cass. They keep putting the same songs in different compilations. The best option open are the movie cds. And these days they are priced so low, it is not so stiff on the pocket.

I will try that out. But how to extract audio songs from complete VCD/DVD. Can u suggest some freeware for trial.

There are many. Most popular ones are audio audition, cool edit pro, goldwave. etc..
