Guys who've been missing seeing Kishore Kumar and Madhubala may be in luck... for someone is presenting an alternative.
One of our most talented 'actresses', Mallika Sherawat, says her role in a coming movie called Kis Kis Ki Kismat is a "cross between Kishore Kumar and Madhubala".
Now isn't that a joke! Sometimes I wonder if these girls are bimbos or masterminds... because whatever happens, they manage to fool the masses and make a good living for themselves!

"Cross between" reminds me of the time I met the film producer/director Sawan Kumar Tak at a dinner in Agra. He was holding forth about his next project, which he grandly declared would be "a combination of GODFATHER and MUGHAL-E-AZAM". tongue.gif

I've been trying to imagine the dialogue of that intended magnum-opus. Something like the old Ajit joke. I can imagine Emperor Akbar played by a Marlon Brando look-alike, saying: "Mona, tum Tony ke saath ghoomna band karo. Mere ko bohut monatony ho rehi hai".
