Was watching this movie Chor Chor (1974), where the music is given by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

It stars Vijay Anand, Leena Chandavarkar & Trilok Kapoor (is he the same person who sang songs in old film Raag Rang ??? --> recalling Aari Aali Piya Bin).

Musically, this movie is a very odd movie. It does not have a single song!!!! Not even one.

I had no intention of watching the movie...but when I saw that the movie is 1974 and MD is LP, and stars LeenaC -- I thought it's gotta have at least one Lata song or so. But absolutely none! Did this movie have any audio CD or Vinyl disk with songs in it??? Any reason why no songs ?? Perhaps shelved ?? Low budget ??

However, there is this one instance where an unknown voice sings the song Phaili Hui Hain Sapno Ki Baahein. My first guess is that it is the voice of Vijay Anand, since his character sings is. Someone please confirm. Uploading the DVD-rip below: 2:06 min @ 128 Kbps VBR.

Now, as for the movie itself..I would have to say...not too bad, actually. The suspense/thrill in the movie is pretty good, and in a very odd way, the lack of songs keeps the attention focused on the movie-plot. So yeah, overall - not a bad watch. :-D

Hoping to get some more info on the film and its songs, if any.

The film was produced by Dev Anand (Navketan Enterprises, Bombay)! According to Hindi Film Geet Kosh, it was a songless film and pre-recorded stock music was used as background music!

Actually...the producer is Vijay Anand himself. So it is indeed a songless film.

And the song that I uploaded above is sung by him only.

Now have to figure out if the actor Trilok Kapoor in the film is the same person who sang duets with Lata-ji in Raag Rang (1952)???
