dear ghazal lovers,
i am a jagjit singh fan since childhood, and this is my first post on this forum

Me too,
In fact, to be very honest, it's very hard to measure our "fan-ness" (or call it fanaticism, yes, that's more like it) for 1 particular artist.
In this sea of music, no matter how much we drink, the quench/thirst is always there for more.
I LOVE to listen to Kishore-da, Rafi-saahab, Manna-da, quite a few songs of Mukesh-ji (anand, "yeh kaun chitrakaar hai", "nain hamare" etc..), Asha-ji, the "old-gold" Lataji (note: "only" the old numbers, not the newer ones, with due respects).
In ghazals, well I listen and love ALL : Ahmed Hussain/Mohd. Hussain (they're out of this world believe me. I still, inspite of singing/playing their "main hawaa hoon kahaan", am struggling to identify who's leading and who's seconding in "Dasht meraa naa yeh chaman meraa" part of the ghazal. Listen to it carefully and you'd agree with me that ONLY A GENUIS can find that out!!) :-),
Mehndi Hasan saahab, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh-ji, Chandan Dass, Hariharan (aaj bhi hai mere Qadmon ke nishaan Awaara, Kuch door hamare saath chalon etc..)
I wouldn't want to be "typographed" as a "fan of ...". YES, I'm a HUGE BIG GREAT fan of MUSIC and MUSIC lovers.
And YES, i'm a BIG fan of this forum too, where , as good the singers/composers are, the contributors are EQUALLY or perhaps BETTER than the performers who they speak/talk/write about.
Hats of to ALL of YOU (i'm still putting my first steps in contributing to the extent of others).
Warm regards
D
