Even after the death of his partner, Jaikishan, Shankar kept on making music into late 70's by keeping the name as Shankar-Jaikishan. But the music lacked the bubbliness and the spark that the duo's earlier movies enjoyed, yet the songs still seem to entertain. They set their bar so high that eventually it became tougher for even them to meet or reach those standards.
