Dattaram was an assistant to the music director duo Shankar-Jaikishan. He got his first major break to compose music for his own film in Raj Kapoor's another "little" big movie "Ab Dilli Door Nahin" (the other being "Boot Polish" made in 1954; these songs are uploaded in Shankra-Jaikishan forum). Following is the list of songs I am uploading. The very first song by Noor Jehan was given to me by a friend of mine and was not on the original CD. I am including it in this upload. This song also was sung by Asha and Geeta together for the same film.

The song labeled 'yeh chaman hamara' - Noor Jehan doesn't appear to be sung by Noor Jehan. For me this version sounds same as Asha, Geeta, chorus version. Music India online lists a Noor Jehan version. Does any member know if a Noor jehan version of this song exists?

I doubt Noor Jehan sang this song for Dattaram as she had left India after partition. It may be
from a pakistani movie and It would definitely would not be credited to Shailendra.

My guess would be a counterfeit CD labeled it as a Noor Jehan solo.
as my CD says Asha & Geeta. and the movie has the same song.

Swarapriya sis, Rajnish bhai and Hari Ram bhai, I just downloaded and heard the song. It is an Asha-chorus song.

One site that I know lists a Noor Jehan version of 'yeh chaman' is Music India online. I had listened to their audio online. There too it is really Asha, Geeta, chrous and not Noor Jehan's voice.

It appears the Music India Online website is incorrect and a Noor Jehan version of this song does not exist.
I just discovered another version of 'yeh chaman .....' does indeed exist and it's by Savita Benarjee. Please check Post #97 at this link:
