Another request, if anyone here has it .... is the Valmiki Prathibha version of Rim Jhim Ghono Ghono Re Borose ? Rinki-di already sent me a version by R.Banya - so looking for the original version. Such an amazing song!

And lastly, they were showing the Satyajit Ray film "Aguntuk" in a French channel on TV 2 weeks back (with French subtitles!). And there was a song in there - Bajilo Kaharo Beena ... and it was sung soooo brilliantly by the singer (forgetting the name....Guha Thakurta....). So I am wondering, is there a Kanika version or Suchitra Mitra version of this song ?? I found a R.Banya version of this song...kintu I didn't like it so much.

I am not sure if the list you are looking for is already compiled and/or available as part of a book such as KB's biography. If it's not available, why don't you start it by posting a list of songs of KB that you have or are aware of. I'd be happy to update the list with songs from my collection.

PS: I maintain(ed) a site on Hemanta Mukherjee where I have tried to document a list of his recorded songs. List compilation is a very painstaking process and requires a lot of time. The list is quite large but is still incomplete (I mean I have info on many songs of HM I found over the last 6-7 years, but did not get around to update the Website).

To the best of my knowledge, Kanika Banerjee never made a disc recording of "Rupshagore Dub Diyechhi". But she did sing it in concerts and on the radio often.

My father made this recording of her singing the song in 1961 (long before I was born!) from Akashvani Kolkata.
