Thanks for bothering to reply buffyfan, that's my feeling, but I was thinking that there was also the possibility that this was a Pakistani or Pop song that I was unfamiliar with, so I thought it's worth a query.

i think id read somewhere that mm kreemz tum mile was "inspired" by a marathi bhajan/song...

I had checked itwofs before posting to see if it was lifted and the only thing they had was the intro was copied from Enigma: Eyes of Truth and Carlyl's Song. But they said the tune is an original one.. So that is very cool new info, thanks for posting that. There seems to be something familiar to me beyond the Criminal song but I can't place it.. In any case I love them both.

By the way very happy to see the verse of Great Iqbal in your message subtitle. You must be knowing it was uttered in Qurbani movie by zeenat aman. But I think you must have read in some book or Iqbal's book.
