Teesra Kinara was produced by Sayed Anwer Hussain & directed by Krishnakant.
It was released on the 8th of August, 1986. With a strong cast that included Raj Babbar, Anita Raj & Smita Patil, this film had all the features of a big hit. Although, it was quite unfortunate that this movie released on the same day as Subhash Ghai's Karma, which went on to become a rage.
Even though it released against Karma, it did make headlines & was termed as a semi-hit.
The music of this film did wonders. The music director was Uttam Singh, Lyrics by Sameer & songs sung by the very famous, Shabbir Kumar.
