Can anyone upload the raaga Bilashkhani Todi by great bengali singer Pt. Ajay Chakravarty???

The bandish is "Ankhiya Bhar Aai in alap" and in drut "Basiyan Baaji Mohan Shyam Ki"

OMG, I completely overlooked the fact that you specifically wanted the tracks from "Tansen". No these are not and I do not have the "50 Glorious years of Indian Classical Music [Set of 5 CDs]" either, so sorry about that.

I do have a wonderful Lalit by Rashid where he sings two khayals for nearly an hour from the album "early morning ragas". Let me know if you're interested......

I will upload the entire album for you - my pleasure. There are two more artistes featured on this album - Nirmalya Dey and Mita Pandit. I strongly recommend that you listen to these two also - their renditions are wonderful. Nirmalya sings the dhrupad - which is probably the form Tansen sang and he is superb.

The sound quality could have been better - but not the quality of music! This is what I have..

Gr8 upload Bibhas...I think all these are online version...I mean recorded from internet. Because whenever the page is being refreshed, the click sound is disturbing everytime. If u listen the song carefully, the click sound is being heard clearly. That's why the quality of the sound is not so good. My connection speed is horrible. So the download process is very slow. Instead of downloading it will be very nice of u if u kindly tell me the website address, then I can directly record from their online version.

It is just as well that you thanked Bibhas - the poor sound quality is now all his fault!
Actually I too started feeling a little bad about not being able to come up with something better - and looked hard at my "sources" ....

I have edited all the posts and what is now uploaded is very good quality. I just could not get the better quality tracks for four ragas - Lalit, Deshkar, Bilaskhani Todi and Miyan ki Todi. You should be fairly pleased with the quality of the other tracks. I will upload these four ragas in good quality as soon as I can get my hands on them....

They are all good quality uploads now except for the four ragas I mentioned in my earlier post - Lalit, Deshkar, Bilaskhani Todi and Miyan ki Todi. So if you download the Darbari Kannada then you won't be disappointed since it is pretty good quality.
