Ilzaam bilkul sahi tha, I swear, I checked out the price and all and the next day by the time I was ready to order it, it had gone! Then you tell me you just got one...!! You did take my copy, but all is well and forgiven, they finally got some more stock and I have one at a decent price and didn't have to pay shipping & handling either.

While on the topic - some DVDs (DEI) from Nehaflix were baad, so please beware. I have now decided to check each DVD (make sure I can navigate all the chapters) because returns/exchanges are possible for a very short period (a week or two).

Yaar among few hundred DVDs 25% of them are not even opened yet or time ot watch them.... lekin yes you are right.. its not only nehaflix... but erosentertainment.com or indiaplaza.com or indiaweekly.com.....with all of them had similiar experience.... dvd turns out to be bad and than has to throw into garbage.....but if you have noticed its not the re-seller but the manufacturer who should be blame.... because all those YashRaj movies > 15bucks are always good...and even with DEI I had little or no problems.... its BABA and SKY are the one to watch out .....

Talking about extra verse's , yesterday I was watching himalay ke god mein and discovered that Lata ji's ek tu jo mila has an extra verse and really nice it is too.

Next, more bad news. Obtained a DVD and checked it out. Magar door talak woh stanza nahin, sirf wohi lines ke chatak ne ki. Dil mein kuchh aise khayalat ne karwat li hain, mujhko apne se nahin aap pe taras aata hai.

Yaar yeh Talaikya ji sabko pagal karke rakh deygi.... if the DVD is by same mfg.... fir kahan se bhi koi khareeda ho...its going to be exactly same naa...meaning just like what I had ripped...

Maybe this stanza comes in the later part of the movie that I can't remember now ? Lagta hai weekend pe firse puri movie dkehni pareygi to solve this mystery ...

The DVD copy I rented is made (or marketed) by International Movies, Muscat. If someone has a copy issued by YashRaj Films, it should be the closest to the original (since the movie was made by B. R. Chopra). I feel I've been gypped of over a minute of Sadhana --- the track uploaded by Priya is 5:14 minutes whereas my copy from the DVD is 4:06.

Talk about TV--a few months back I was watching some cricket series early in the morning and in between overs kept channel surfing--Stra Plus and Star Gold show such quaint old stuff in the mornings. I heard lots of old obscure asha songs in theek thak quality--they were showing these ancient mythological and folk type films. Main to pagal ho gayi--that means there is so much stuff not being made available to the public.
If I had the patience I would have sat daily and recorded these par being a night bird it is so hard to get up at 5 in the morning--sleeping at 5 is easier.

Mujhe lagta hai I have given Bawra ji enough time to recover from complications of missing lyrics!

I have the full song but it's a revival version. The original I have extracted from a Song DVD and it has the last 3 stanzas sung SB & MR Probably the song was in two parts, I don't remember the details of the movie, it's been so long. Does anyone have the original version which has the 3 stanzas in bold above that are sung by Asha ji and is CDable? (Coining a new term )

The revival version has made what we call here an 'aviyal' of the song-all mixed up--I heard it and thought the songs was sung by all three singers together. Then bought the vcd the othr day of the film and found the first part is Rafi & Shamshad singing on request of Dev Anand to woo the heroine--they are street singers. The next part is with the heroine hearing the song again (happy) interspersed with her sad outpourings (asha's part). I will check if the stanzas U want are there.
