Karan Razdan's Eight is a supernatural thriller. Like his earlier films such as Hawas and Girlfriend, this movie also has sex but portrays more senuality mixed with suspense and thrill. Eight is a mixture of sex and religion with a modern look. With regard to the title Karan says Gone are the days of straight and simple titles. If the title is unique, it evokes curiosity and the audiences become more interested in the film and its content. Eight is the number of Saturn. It is commonly believed that many miseries in life is guided by the position of this planet. This number represents revolution, anarchy, earthquakes, and all sorts of natural and social disasters. In short my film surrenders to the power of Shani (the God of Saturn).
