Begunhaaon Ka Lahu

Sangeetji, is this song playing in the background in the movie? I have the complete song of - Begunaahon Ka Lahu from Johar in Kashmir 1966. Please clarify!

Kalyanji Anandji were also the music dirs. of Johar in Kashmir 1966.

AHH good old BAPPI LAHIRI at his best. The song you are referring to is from the 1997-98? MITHUNda flick MILITARY RAAJ. Music/Singer is Bappida, catchy Punjabi tune with some "balles" and "shaavas" thrown in. I have the CD for the song somewhere in the house, GOD only knows where. No promises when I can upload it but hope the above info helps someone locate the soundtrack, audio was on some offbrand, not on TIPS, VENUS, etc.

Alrighty...a comment now - the Bhakta Prahlad film...I think it is 1967 and not 1977. Two websites I checked says its 1967 - IMDB & UltraIndia, so do check/confirm the details please. However, the Telugu version is also mentioned as 1967. Perhaps both made in same year and the Hindi one released later?

Hi Saniji, Hari Ram Bhai asked me the same Q, Unfortunately the hindi version of this is not mentioned in any websites. The telugu one is 1967 (as mentioned in imdb). The songs sound 60ish but i could not confirm. The date 1977 was taken from the censor details at the start of the film.

Can anyone check if this is mentioned in Geetkosh?

I asked for Geet Kosh Reference because I thought Geet Kosh lists the year of release , not year of recording. Also, I saw in Mera Naam Johar DVD it says censored 1977 again though it is a 1967 release. May be the films have to recensored again for a re-release? I see that the censor details show the validity period only for 10 years. For Mera Naam Johar it said Censored date 1977 Valid up to 1987.

Teri Deed Se Tasalli is an awesome song!

Sangeetbhai interesting to note that Mumu is the heroine in all those old Dara Singh movies. Tarzan and king kong and now Samson. Are there any more?

Most of Dara Singh movies have either Mumtaz or Nishi. There is a story that Shashi Kappor refused to work in Saccha Jhootha because Mumtaz was Dara Singh's film heroine ( B-grade films) , Manmohan Desai didnot budge and signed Rajesh Khanna instead. Rajesh And Mumtaz had just 1 flop ( Aaina) and the songs those 2 have done

Gore Rang Pe Na itna Guman Kar , sigh! They don't make songs like those anymore.
