please no remix version, a lot of madam ji's songs have been remixed for some strange reason and it's a shame because they such beautiful songs. In fact most pakistani old songs have been treated this way, what do they get out of ruining great songs?

This is one of my fav Madam songs--aaj hi dl kiya maine. I had an online recorded version woh bhi with jhankar. How absolutely delightful it is to hear the original recording. As U said I cannot figure out why they ruin songs with jhankar--it does not enhance the songs rather spoils the whole effect and makes them monotonous.
Do U have more of such original versions? Where are u based? I never seem to get any Madam cds here--Madras and Hyderabad sometimes have a few but nothing much. Are U in india?
Please ul more such lovely songs--Pakistani that is--i have most of her available Indian songs.

Hi priya ji, Im glad you liked its one of my fav's too. Sadly most of madam ji's songs I had were remix/jhankar types now Ive deleted them all I hated the noise in them. the few originals I have I'll list for you and if you like any I would be happy to u/l for you.
I live in Swansea UK which has a very small asian population and there is isnt any place where I can buy old film music here. I have family in London which is about 250miles from here, and when I visit them I get a chance too buy music , there are some good music shops there. Aur jab wahan jaate hain to bohat zayada bohat zayada cd's buy karte hain. At the moment buying online is way too expensive for me . I can buy over 10 CD's for the price they are asking for 1 at Hamara CD.

Thanks Inaam ji, yes I love madam's songs mainly her old film songs and ghazals in urdu, I also like her punjabi oldies too. But a lot of her punjabi songs of the late 80's and through the 90's sound similar.

Thanks for Ur generous offer. My list I am afraid is rather long. Because most of the Madam songs I have are recorded online and so not of that good quality--many are jhankar versions but I keep them with the hope that one day I can get the good versions.

The song kabhi tanhaiyon mein is Mubarak Begum's song!!! Picturised on tanuja I think. Maybe the dua kar ghame dil song is Lata's--have not dled that yet--but I remember getting it from a Pakistani site once and finding it was the Lata song from Anarkali.
A friend gave me a whole set of qawalis saying they are Madam's and I did not pay much attention till Inaam told me they were not hers--pata nahi kiske the

Thanks for pointing those out priyaji, I think I d/loaded those 2 songs from the net and they were incorrectly tagged . Sorry,I didnt check them out properly..I've removed them from here, dont want others to get fooled like me.
