This is a gem from the film Pyasa...a teaser of a song only Geeta ji can do justice. Added to the wonderful lyrics, we have Waheeda, the ever graceful actress making eyes at Guru dutt in her own way. It is amazing the way they used to portray women in those days...even the courtesan has her principles and ways..we dont find them even in the heroines we find now a days...alas !! Hope you will enjoy this playful song full of life...

This is quintessential Geeta ji...at her peak. the melancholy, the pathos, the mood is absolutely divine. Added to it, the brilliant photography of VK Murthy, ofcourse aided by the director genius Guru Dutt ( he is reputed to be able to strip a camera and fit it again which is no mean task ! ) takes our breath away....a song which has been immortalized on screen....can never imagine any other voice for this ...
