Lata ji is simply superb in this song. I just love it..

I just observed that Salil da has used as many as 9 singers for this album. Another incident I read about this film's songs..

Some of the songs of this movie were supposed to be sung by Talat sahab, who was ill at the time of recordings. He recommended Mukesh ji's name to Salilda and the rest as they say is history. Mukesh ji have immortalized the songs he sang.

Such was healthy and friendly relationship between the singers at that time.

Yes Parag, it is a beautiful number.

What I like about this whole album is its Folksy Flavour.
All the compositions remind you of the rural landscape, life in the hinterlands.
Specially the bird chirping and the cowherd in the beginning of Suhana Safar...
Excellent job by SalilDa.

You mean Talat was originally supposed to sing the ones eventually sung by Mukesh ?
I am sure he would also have done full justice to them but as of today I enjoy these two lovely numbers beautifully sung by Mukesh.
