There are 2 snippets actually in the film--one with music, a faster romantic version (altho just a couple of lines!!!) picturised on Madhubala. The other version with no music is picturised on Lalita Pawar--before anyone goes Good Heavens!!! she is KK's mom but in reality Madhubala's mom and a good sati savitri lady in the film!!! I have a fondness for that version. The song is listed in the VN book so I was hoping there was a full record version released but no one seems to have any knowledge of such a case.

The Madhubala version is just one line- and more or less no different from the other snippet I have u/l

The Madhubala version is 2 lines--I just recorded it a few days back!!!! The LP one is 4 lines!!!!
Which is Ur version--I mean from an album? Will be dling it but phir bhi pooch rahi hoon.

CM has uploaded the part picturized on Lalita Pawar.
The snippet picturized on Madhubala has a slightly higher pitch quality to it,
a case of Asha adjusting her voice quality to match the actress.

Cineji!!!! U really ought to get Ur ears tested!!! Asha's song sounded like an announcement, then many sounded like Lata and now U say these 2 are no different--they are quite different in pitch and tempo!!!! Ah but maybe if it had been the case of any other singer I would not have paid that much attention.
BTW U did not tell me if U have the other song from Bhagwan Parshuram. I loved mere man ke mansarovar mein when U uled it and its nasha still has not subsided.

U are right my ears are ~~highly passe~~~but the other one was so short I did'nt save it.

Thanks Cineji for the song!!! Do U have the others too from the film--do u get these from vcds of the movies? Bec there is no needle scratch or hiss or such creepy stuff. I checked our Musicworld today for vcds and dvds--the rarest i could find were Rakhi and Chor Bazar (bah no Asha songs)--all the others were stuff like Golmaal, Anarkali and all popular stuff. I am planning a trip to Hyd soon outwardly for reseach purposes--maybe can get some rare stuff there--any one knows good places there apart from Musicworld and Sangeet Sagar and such shops?

When I first watched Jhumroo it was on an obscure channel called Jain TV--it was a channel that got badly transmitted with a lot of disturbance and I was really confused thinking Madhubala was in a double role and why she was one minute cultured and sophisticated and the next minute like a chattering monkey!!! Then later realised that was her sister. She must have been a beauty too.
