Mandrake
Thanks Anu for the first ever complete song smile1.gif
Just nit-picking, though...why is the sound 'muffled'-like? The copy I have (without the beginning, though) is of a sharper quality...
Mirch Masala
I wonder if this lyricist, Amrita Pritam, was also a novelist and who became more famous for her passion for Sahir Ludhyanvi than for her own works ??

Just wondering out aloud, thats all .

Hi Suhas,
Since the song has been ripped from a VHS, the quality is compromising. I wish I could get my hands on the DVD. I've been searching for the complete version since ages. When I saw this Vid. tape, I grabbed it - didn't really care about the quality. I also have the CD of Kadambari but like you said, the song starts with a cut with absolutely no introductory music.

Now don't be so picky... Isi se guzaara karo till I get a nice, crystal-clear, crisp, thanakti, khanakti file for you. cool.gif
C'mon it's not that bad. wacko.gif huh.gif

Regards,

Anu

Mandrake
lol...Anu, thanks really. It isn't as bad as I made it out to be smile1.gif In fact it is pretty good, and if I didn't have another copy, I'd never even have complained smile1.gif
But there is a kahaavat in Marathi - khaaeen tar tupaashi, naahi tar upaashi (agar khaaoonga toh ghee ke saath, varna bhookha rehna pasand karoonga). Sometimes I am like that - everything or bust laugh.gif

Fikar not, will still d/l anything that's needed wink2.gif

Thanks a ton, Anu!!! love.gif This version is a treasure. clap1.gif

Thank you, Anupama for the film version. As you're having VHS of KADAMBARI, can I request you to please upload Kavita Krishnamurthy's AAYEGA AANE WALA from same film?

Anupama,

I am under the impression the MD is Ustad Vilayat Khan. Could you confirm please?

Shaibaal
HumTum
Shaibaalbhai you got that right. It is Ustad Vilayat Khan.

Anupamabehen thanks for the song.
Anupama
Shaibal, you are absolutely right. Music is by Ustad Vilayat Khan. .Earthmusic provided me with wrong information mad.gif . I should have seen the opening credits of the film. doh.gif
Thanks for pointing it out.
rinmaj
I'm u/ling my CD version, which has the intro-music , but just a bit of it present in Anupama's version is missing here. Also the music at the end is not as extensive as her version, but since Suhas is insisting for a crisper, fuller version I thought of u/ling the same.

its 3:19 @ 160

The back of my Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka/Naya Din Nai Raat/Shankar Hussain/Ek Hans Ka Jora/Kadambari CD lists, for what it's worth, says for the 2 Kadambari numbers:

Ustad Vilayat Khan & Ajit Singh

Rinmaj, the CD version from above named CD is only 2:30, is this from a compilation CD? In any case thanks for this version and to Anupama for starting the thread.
rinmaj
You're most welcome, Deewani and yes, this is from the 3-CD compilation titled "Together : Mhd. Rafi and Asha Bhosle".
Anupama
Many many thanks for your upload Rinmaj! jump.gif Awesome!

Deewani, my CD's cover also have the same names but when I saw the movie, the opening credits had Ustad Vilayat Khan as the music director not Ajit Singh.

Thanks for that bit of info Rinmaj, I often ask questions like that with no hope of an answer cause I usually don't get one, lol, appreciate it. biggrin.gif

Thanks Anupama, that's strange isn't it? I mean it's not like Ajit was so prolific........ BTW is that your CD scan? Mine looks different. In either case thanks a bunch, I'm gonna go grab that other song you upped by request, I have never heard it before, appreciate it. smile.gif

Aurous
Thank you rinmaj for the crisper version biggrin.gif
