The music is not really Satyajit Ray's -- the original song & lyrics are by none other than the great Rabindranath Tagore himself. Ray simply adapted the song and gave it a gorgeous and glamorous filmy touch - the original song is much slower.

Not sure about the other songs of Charulata, however.
