How Aishwarya's loss has always been Rani's gain

They were good friends at one time. But in the world of Bollywood, it doesn't take long for things to fall apart.
Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee were so good friends that Ash used to give Rani make-up tips.
But then things fell apart between the two. The situation got so bad that Ash never hesitated in saying (without taking any names) that she was hurt by some friends.
But looking into the career of both Ash and Rani, one sees that Ash's loss has always been Rani's gain.
Whichever movie Ash has rejected or for any reason not done, has landed in the lap of Rani and has given good impetus to the career of the Bengali damsel.
Ash was first signed for Chalte Chalte - Shah Rukh Khan 's home production, but when Salman Khan stormed the sets of the film, Ash was dropped like a hot cake.
Rani was signed in for the film and her gorgeous looks in the film were appreciated by one and all.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali , who directed Ash in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdaas , then approached Ash with the female lead role in Black , which also starred Amitabh Bachchan .
This time date hassles proved to be the decisive factor and Ash lost the film to Rani.
Rani's performance in 'Black' was not only appreciated, but the film was selected amongst 10 best films of 2005 by Time magazine.
Ash was then considered for Aamir Khan 's historical 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising .
Date hassles and Ash's problems with the producers proved to be the decisive factors this time and Rani was signed in to play the role female lead role after Ash was dropped.
Though the film bombed, Rani's performance was appreciated in the historical.
And now reports are that another movie, for which Ash was considered, has landed in Rani's lap.
This film also belongs to Bhansali and is titled Saanvariya .
Incidentally, the movie doesn't have as powerful a role as in 'Black' for Rani. Yet, the movie adds to the status of Rani in the industry.
In fact, the movie is a launch pad for two star kids - Anil Kapoor 's daughter Sonam and Rishi Kapoor 's son Ranveer -- as a new pair.
Bhansali wanted Ash to act in 'Saanvariya', but he prefers Salman for the male lead.
Since relations between Salman and Ash continue to be too strained, the former Miss World had to opt out of it. Thus, Rani was signed in.
So, it can be said that Ash's loss has always been Rani's gain.
Sanjay himself said that Rani was his first and only choice for Michelle in Black. That means he never considered Aish for the role and I also have my doubts about what has been said about Saawariya. I also think that Rani was the original choice for her role in that movie.
I don't think that Aish is upset because Rani took her place in the movies, CC and MP, but more for the fact that when she was going through a rough time in her personal life Rani (who was her friend) didn't even call to ask how she was holding up. A natural thing what a friend should do, I think!!! I don't think that Aish is a fool to be upset towards Rani because Shahrukh throwed her out of CC and that the producers of MP were having problems with. If it wasn't Rani then someone else would do those movies. I mean she is a woman with brains!!!! We have to credit her for that!!!
Also, I have heard that Aish was offered Veer Zaar, but MR. SRH wasn't willing to work with her and that is when Preity was approached. Preity (something Rani didn't do) on the other hand called Aish first and told her that she has been approached for Aish role in Veer Zaara. Preity asked Aish first if she was doing the movie or not!! Result they are still friends and was invited to the wedding
impressive conclusion..........however, i still think, Aish does feel insecure with Rani.............let's see, i like Aishwarya, she's amazingly beautiful besides talented...........meanwhile she's very competitive....i mostly follow her through her own website, which is now down for now............and other sources.....i found her very very competitive girl....she is one of those girls who wants everythin for her..............in such case, she can be insecure of Rani........why.....caoz Rani rules Bollywood AIsh doesn't..............Aish is tryin to get to bollywood through hollywood...........but there are awfully talented girls ahead of her like Rani, Kajol, Madhuri..........since two of these girls did not stop workin after marriage, AIsh's success will only be limited to her glamor in bollywood.............i watch her movies critically, she is very talented in her own style...but she is not multi-talented girl..........as an actor u have to be multi-talented, not only talented...have u ever seen her performin comedy?......she's mostly the innocent girl of 50s or a village girl.........the only role she's very successful with...........she tried action in Dhoom which wasn't that impressive, critically........while Rani is everythin.......she can be sexy, innocent, disabled, wife, a lawyer, etc!.........besides, Abhishek has a soft corner for her

, now imagine bein Aish is like bein worried both from personal life, and career life

......and my conclusion is, that's why she does not TALK to rani and avoids her in public......because we girls are insecure of those whom we count on !!!

...finally, i dun think it's story of a simple phone call....i forgive friends who do not call as time goes on......but AIsh has much deeper hatred which so visible....over all, i like her, she's so competitive and intelligent!
