I think we can have another poll for the duets ! Suraiya ji has sung some nice duets with Rafi saab, Talat saab and Mukesh ji. No clue if she has any with Kishoreda, Manna Dey ji and Lata ji, Asha ji ??
Also only one with Geetaji in Afsar ! No idea if she has any with other singers like Suman Kalyanpur, Hemantda, Mahendra Kapoor, Shamshad Beghum etc ?
It would be great if some one having info, please share !
Cheers

My vote would be for " Raheye ab aise jagah chlkar janhe koi na ho"
from Mirza Galib. I think it is one her best solo.

My very favorite 2 Suraiya melodies are :
1. tum meet mere tum praan mere (Jeet, Anil Biswas)
2. meraa diladaar na milaayaa (Shama Parwana, Husnlal Bhagatram)
Such beautiful renditions. And she sounds so wonderful even in her last song, "ye kaisi ajab daastaan" from "Rustom Sohrab". Truly a timeless legend..

My vote would also go the Noorie way to Nukkachi Hai Gham-e-Dil.
Incidentally, one of the songs on your list ,"Sham-e-Bahar Aayi" is a duet with Rafi Saab. But, I thought that you had meant this only for her solos!

Usha,
Where are you? Why are you 'Away'? Such a knowledgeable person as yourself deciding to desert us! What a pity.
Come back, girl. I am sure that will gladden many hearts and you will be a very valued member, as ever.
