Just wondering about the song "Mehfil Mein Meri Kaun Yeh deewana aa gaya". Is the co-singer CR or Rafi saab ?

As far as I remember, it is Rafi saab.
Can some one confirm if I am correct or not ?

That was very quick usha ji. Thanks for the confirmation. I knew that there is one duet of Rafi saab in Albela but wasn't 100% sure.

Ishoo, Thanks for wondeful u/l. Now I will need to get the movie and watch it again. An evergreen movie. It was Bhagwandas who pioneered dancing in movies. He was so natural. Even big B says he is inspired by
Bhagwandas's moves

Parag " Mehfil Mein Meri Kaun Yeh deewana aa gaya" sound very much like Rafi but google says it is Chitalkar. Unless he did a very good impression of Rafi. I think it is Rafi in this particular song. It was known
that Bhagwan prefered CR as his playback voice.

As far as my information goes, Bhagwan dada, CR saab and Omprakash were best of buddies. CR saab did give playback for many of his songs. It may be possible that Bhagwan dada preferred CR. CR saab even gave playback to Dilip kumar in "Kitna haseen hain mausam".

I have read that he wanted Talat Mehmood for this song and Talat saab was not well, so CR saab sang this song in "Talat like" way !

Yes I heard CR in a TV interview that Talat was not available for some reason so he gave palyback for it.
In fact he sang few lines of another Talat song (can't remember which song) and sounded very good.
He also gave play back for couple of song for Dev saab in Barish(old)

There is actually a 12th song in Albela: a Lata-Chitalkar duet version of Dheere Se Aaja. It was there in the original movie and original LP as I recall, don't know about the CD/DVD versions.
