Also there is another bhajan which is Meerabai.

Tame re Sonu ne ame raakh, Raanji amne raakh na padya che sava lakh.
IF you have that one too-lyrics and sung version that would be lovely.

Hi Jairaj, Here is the lyrics for the Narsinh Mehta bhajan, as best as I can spell it in English.
As for the context I guess it could be philosophical or vairagya.

If you have the audio please u/l both . I will try to find the wording for the Meera bhajan.
