Friends I am looking for Lata Ji's solo from movie AZAD , name of the song " Jare Jare O Kaari Badariyaa... Maat barso re meri nazariya... pardes gaye hai sanwariya...."
By the way friends did you know in this movie AZAD , there was not a single male solo or duet song except the Qawaali in the movie sung by Raghunath Jhadav & Party
Also wondering why was Usha Mangeshkar was chosen instead of Asha Ji for the duo with Lata Ji on Applam Chapplam , any info would be appreciated

Thanks

The least I can do in return for providing that link to Asha-ji's song:
U/L: "Ja ri ja ri o kaari badariya" (Lata Mangeshkar / Film: "AZAD" / Music: C. Ramachandra)

Thanks once again

Nice song, love Lataji, especially in her younger days, of late she sounds old, (it almost seems like a sacrilege to say so) but then don't we all??
About male duets and such, isn't Kitna Haseen Hai Mausam from this film? Or is from another Azad? Also, what qawwali is it? I love qawwalis and maybe I should try to find it.

As you said "I feel a discussion coming".
Most, maybe all of us are fans of Lata-ji. So no disrespect is meant here. But IMHO she had done no good to her legendary status and the respect of her millions of fans by continuing to record at this point of time. It's like overstaying at a party or wearing out the welcome.
There is nothing she needs to do to gild her accomplishments.
Her re-recordings of her own originals is like "throwing the baby out with the bath-water".

Unni ji,
It breaks my heart to say so, because I am a great fan of Lata ji's and I hope Sani never reads this, the chappie is totally smitten, but I agree, she should quit. Pata nahin kya insecurities hoti hain. Itna naam kamaya, forget paisa, at this stage I don't think any of them are that concerned with money. I guess we don't know their motivations. Maybe she just can't quit because it would mean ending something she just loves so much.
I was fortunate to hear her live almost a decade ago. At that time too fans were a bit diappointed in her singing. I wasn't... for me it was a first and just the fact she was on stage for most of the show singing with such commitment was enough for me. She was great. That show was special because my parents were visiting for the first time (only time for Dad) and we'd all gone together.
Like you said, someone should convince her to share her life, her thoughts. All the greats that are still around, owe it to their fans. I believe Lata ji is very accessible and she will even answer phone calls. Maybe some of us who are associated with the Industry can talk her into it.

Yes Kitna haseen was a duet but see most of the song was dominated by Lata Ji , could hardly remember Appasaheb was with her singing.
The Qawaali , I just checked , I dont have it , but the way it goes is "Marna bhi mohabbat mein "......
