Dear All Geetaji Fans,
I am starting a thread on some of the lesser heard songs of our beloved singer.
Ironically my first upload is one of the most popular songs of hers, but there is a twist.
The song in the Film had 2 extra lines which were deleted in the recorded version.
The song is "Yeh Lo Main Hari Piya" from Aarpaar. This is the version which has those 2 missing lines at the end :
"Dekho Main Gaali Doongi,
Chhod De Yeh Reet Re"
I hope you will like to hear this one.
Warmest Regards
Parag

The next one in the series is from the legendary Burmanda. The movie is "Jaal" and Geetaji has sung this song with Kishorda. Observe the softness in Kishorda's voice.
Picturised on the charming Geeta Bali and evergreen Dev saab, this is a treat to hear or watch.

P.S. I am sure all the movie fans know that Surinder Kapoor (Father of Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor) was secretary to late Geeta Bali. Any film produced by Boney Kapoor has a tribute to Geeta Bali before the beginning of the movie. Many times I have felt that the few seconds of immortal smile of Geeta Bali is 1000 times better than the movie which follows later..

The next one is very soecial to me personally. This is "Chaand Hai Wo Hi" from the movie Parineeta.
Music by Arunkumar.
The reason why it is special for me is for the following lines :
"Raag Hain Wohi, Parag Hai Wohi Chaman
Phir Bhi Kyun Udaas Hain, Udaas Mera Mann"

The next in the series is masti bhara song from "Half Ticket". Sung by Geetaji in the company of Kishorda this is a foot tapper from the great Salil Choudhury. The song was picturized on the venus of Indian cinema Madhubala and Kishorda himself.
Have fun...

Here is the next one by Geetaji and chorus from "Miss Mary". Music by Hemantda and lyrics by Rajinder Krishan. I am not sure if the song has been picturized on the heroine Meena Kumari.
"Aayi re ghir ghir
Pehali Pehali Badariya
Aaj sakhi zuki zuki
Kyon hain nazariya"
Looks like a song on the occasion of "God-Bharai" ( I dont know how can I explain this in English)..LOL

"Raat nasheeli rang rangeeli mast hawa

To quote the famous critic Hemant Parikh :
It was a simple tune equally simply put across, that is why it
