Please provide info on this song. I have a copy of this song that starts with a Classical singer then I believe Lata Ji takes over the song. PLease I need info on this song. Is this song also sung by MKappor. Great song!!!!!

'Mere ashkon ka gham na kar ae dil'

This is an unreleased song. The track you must have heard begins with Madan Mohan ( the composer of the song ) singing the tune it in his voice ...and then later the actual song plays ...which was recorded in Lata's voice. Probably because the film was shelved, the song remained unreleased..for a long time...it was later brought into the public domain by his son, Sanjeev Kohli, via Saregama. I don't think I have ever heard this in Mahendra Kapoor's voice.

Sri, if you have a whole bunch of shongs with MM singing before the full track, would luv to hear them. Easier you upload than me come to B'lore and drive you nuts looking for a joint to quench my permanent pyaas.

I have the song that I downloaded from the forum that starts with MM then Lata and unless somebody uploads before I do, then wait till tomorrow.

I thoght Mahendra Kapoorji sang this song-Khobiji was playing it on HM radio yesterday and it played twice. Now if Madan saab sang it and lataji too, I would not mind that version. But Khobiji would be able to solve this mystery. Thanks for the replies. I just fell in love with the song.
