Hello Inaam, Jamal, and Priya,
Maybe this information will be new and interesting for you.
Most of the filmography mentioned on that website is incorrect, EXCEPT THIS FILM "Nai Kiran" (1959).Nai Kiran was NOT a regular Lollywood production, it was produced by Pakistani Government under the guidance of Field Marshal Ayub Khan. It was a propaganda film whose main purpose was to defame politics and politicians, creating antagonism towards democracy and hail the imposition of martial law as the 'Green Revolution'. Nai Kiran was 1 hour twenty minute long feature length film with distinct story line, songs and dances and the exercise was like Hitler's full-length propaganda film Triumph of the Will.
Nai Kiran was made in five major languages (Urdu, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi and Pushto) and Minsitry made 170 prints of the film!, whereas any feature film released simultaneously throughout the country would need at most 28 prints.
Celebrities and prominent artistes avoided being the part of such undertaking. However, producers of this film were empowered to induct any artiste into their film.
Anybody who didnot comply or refused to take part was coerced by the police and military to mend their ways. NOOR JEHAN REFUSED TO ACT IN THIS FILM, BUT SHE WAS HARASSED BY LAW ENFORCING AGENCIES AND SHE HAD TO SUBMIT AGAINST HER WILL. For extras to act as dancers, girls from Karachi red light area were approached, but even they were not willing to co-operate. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the area lined them up for the producer to take his pick for the film.
Very very corrupt Government

, under Ayub Khan rule even the most famous celebrities were not safe and secure. Another such incident happened when the top actress/dancer of Pakistan NEELO was forced to dance infront of Emperor of Iran by the government, when she refused she was threatened to be raped by the officials. She attempted suicide, but luckily she survived... Riaz Shahid married her after this incident. Famous poet Habib Jalib wrote this poem "Raqs zanjeer pehan kar bhi kiya jata hai" (You can dance in chains) for Neelo after this incident, which was later used in Zerqa and was picturized on Neelo as a tribute to her. (Most of the information is from Pakistan Cinema).
